is here around a non-choral singing voice sampled library?
EmVoice has a bit of a learning curve and is not as natural as anyone would like but it is inexpensive. Each “voice” costs $59 but the host player is free.
Mike,
I notice that when I tried to use Emvoice with Finale 27, I could not get the vocal MIDI to transfer to Emvoice the way I could in Cubase and Dorico. So unless others can find a way to feed the vocal channel into Emvoice as one can in the other programs, I expect one would have to add notes as well as text manually, a particular problem since one cannot set times signatures in Emvoice manually. Emvoice depends on feedback from the hosting program to do that, and not even Dorico has that capability yet. Only Cubase (or presumably another DAW) can take complete control of Emvoice.
I have a project coming in week after next and will be getting into this then. I do a lot with Rewire and Digital Performer so that may be the current solution. Won't be able to look at it till then. I do have Dorico 4 as well. I know that Rewire is not really a Win solution anymore—in fact, it's not supposed to work on the Mac either but it still does, even on my M1. I'll report back to this thread when I do.
