Hi everyone I have a problem that I cannot solve and I hope someone here can help me. I am writing a piece for orchestra and I wanted to know this: in the staves where 2 instruments are written, such as woodwinds (flute 1 and 2, Oboe 1 and 2, Clarinets 1 and 2 etc ...) it is wrong to assign two different patches in two different levels? I have the full version of GPO 5 and I wanted to have more realism in the playback by assigning, for example, in the flute staff "flute player 1" in layer 1 and "flute player 2" in layer 2? But in this way when I put a dynamics mark on the staff then in the playback it affects only layer 1. How can I do? Is there a way to assign dynamics to the playback of both layers? Or do I have to leave the same patch on both levels? Thank you.

I have finale 27 with macOS Monterey

1) You can give a different midi channel to each layer in the Scoremanager -> Instrument list (click on the triangle to see the layers).

2) An expression can affect the playback of a specific layer (right click -> Edit Expression Assignment). You 'll probably need 2 expressions, one per layer.
