Finale 27, somewhat elderly Mac Mini (late 2014, 2.8 GHz, 8 gigs RAM, Catalina).

Repitch in Simple Entry is unusable starting with version 27. Sometimes I can get a note or three to change, but then it grinds to a halt. It worked fine in version 26. Is this a known issue?

Not in my copy of Finale. Are you using the mouse or choosing a note and then typing from a MIDI keyboard? Mine works both ways.

No problems here, either. Have you tried refreshing the preferences?

Many thanks to Adrian and Mike for your suggestions.

Mike, I Reset All Preferences from Finale>Preferences... and no change after restarting Finale.

Adrian, I select Simple Entry, click the Repitch button, and mouse click the first note, then play MIDI notes, as I have always done. I tested on a freshly-booted computer with the Finale default file just now and couldn't get more than one note to change before getting the spinning beach ball of death. I am suspecting that the new Finale is making calls somewhere that doesn't exist on my 9-year-old Mac Mini, because version 26 worked fine. This is the only thing that breaks for me right now.
