Ex: I would like to be able to highlight measures 1-50 with a jazz feel and then highlight the next area, measures 51-90 and choose a straight eighth note style.

I followed you instructions witIhout results. Finally I went back to midi/audio > human playback > the choice "none" was selected and now I have standard eighth notes.

I started with midi/audio>human playback>jazz from measure 1-52. At measure 53 to the end I want to switch to straight (standard) eighth notes. Please help. ChuckD
