Are you still using Mac Finale? If I Recall Correctly, you should go to the folder Preferences, and look for something like 'Finale 2014 Preferences'

You could increase the font size of the accidental. That will make the accidental look “bolder”, compared to the (bold) text font. Or you could try another music font. Try e. g. Broadway Copyist ...
