Running Finale V-27.4.1.110 on a Windows 10 Desktop Computer. Also running Finale V-27.4.1.100 on my Dell Laptop.
I am using the jazz setting in HP, also.

Never-mind! I just figured it out, by getting both eighth notes into the same Layer! Beams, perfectly, once they ended up in the same Layer.
