Peter, You are completely right.  Using the Time Signature Tool, also the beaming in other staffs do change. I reworked the passage using the Rebeam Utility for the selected measure range and it is...

And then I hided the time signature using the Measure Attributes tool. --> Time signature : always hide. Looks excellent now.

Note : In Speedy Entry I use the "/" sign to build or break the beam.  Works not for the measures starting with a rest. Jo De Witte
