Attempting to use Finale 25.5 in Windows 10, with varyingly elegant results. I try to find answers elsewhere before I trouble the helpful people here. Unfortunately, the pickings are slim in the Finale User Manual, and the site search engine is almost worse than useless. MakeMusic does not seem to be interested in responding to suggestions for improving the software or the User Manual. C'est la guerre. I'm sure that they will be more pleased with the next upgrade than I will be. C'est la vie.

That seems to have been the problem. I've made a second score for playback, using a pick-up measure sized to the duration of the grace notes (dotted 16th, for three 32nd-notes). As that score will ...

Cannot get grace note rip to play
[Finale 25.5 in the midst of Windows 10]I've composed a piece of music that begins with seven of eight players, one of them being the lucky flautist. I have notated a three-grace-note "rip" in the ...

- Independent treatment of layers: delete, copy, paste single layer, or move individual layer from staff to staff.
I think you're right about having to download it. JW Polyphony seems to be the plug-in; I found it mentioned in a forum post that was tangential to my search related to this problem. However, this ...

Hello again.I am making playback versions of several concert band scores. The conductor's scores have many staves for two instruments-- for example, Also Sax 1,2; Tpt. 2,3, Horn 1,2, Horn 3,4; Trom...
