Although I’ve never understood it, I believe that not all of the instruments that are listed actually have a sound attached to them.
What have you tried? What was the result? You may have to open them in a middle version first, like 2008.
What version of Finale, what OS? Have you restarted the computer? Trashed the Finale preferences?
