Agreed. What Finale is doing is correct notation, at least to my way of thinking. You may be able to “fix” it once, and use JW Pattern Copy to extend it.

Font preferences are document specific. You would have to change them in your templates and Document Styles to have them open that way automatically.

Kind of... You can do one measure manually, and then use JP Pattern Copy to repeat it. This only works on full measures, though.

You can be sure that your version of Finale will NOT run on a newer OS. The only thing I can suggest is that you try a new user account on your computer.
