Right click on the chord, and select DELETE.

You have chords attached to them, so they aren't really empty! Delete the chords, and attach them to the piano staff, instead.

Do the measures fill out a system? That is, they go from the beginning to the end? You can send me the score at wawoodman at aol dot com, and I'll take a look.

Tina, Select the empty measure range at the beginning of your score. With the staff tool, right click in the handle at the upper left of the staff, and choose Hide Empty Staves.

Two things you might try: Copy the document into a new one, or export it as Music XML, and reimport it. (Before someone chimes in about Document Options... > Clefs, PM doesn't have that option!)

Yes. When you upgrade, you can keep you older versions. They do not count towards the number of authorizations.

That box on the playback control is really only for a single tempo. Use expressions to set changing tempi throughout the piece. You can create tempo markings at whatever speed you want. Expression ...
