In Simple Entry, enter the first note of your tuplet. Then tap Alt-9 to open the Tuplet Definition box. Click where I have the red circle. You will get a dropdown. Select the dotted note, there.

Ray, a lot of those "nested" commands don't take too well to shortcuts. I've had the same problems, when I've tried setting up shortcuts through the Mac Keyboard. All of my "single" shortcuts work ...

- In orchestral score, the harp and chimes do not appear when the score is displayed in page view (and, no, they're not marked as hidden).

Gregg, is this a custom font? Do you get the same messge with one of the Finale-supplied fonts?

Set your tuplet as 6 quarters in the space of 1 dotted quarter. Then, as Peter said, choose not to display number and bracket.

That's interesting, since (as far as I know) the last version of NotePad was 2012. But in any case, a later version should be able to open a file created in an earlier version. Send me one of the...

In the default document, you need to add a text field linked to "lyricist." It appears that there is none, currently.
