This forum is run by MakeMusic, and is a very poor replacement for the old one. The other one is privately owned. Many members of the old MM forum have moved to that one.

I would consider that to be a bug. SSDs are only relevant in a crowded score situation. submit it to MM with the Submit a Request tab at the top of the page.

Handwritten, it's in slot 148. You can enter Root / colon / 148. Or, on a US keyboard, Root and the accent grave (under the tilde.) That's on a Mac. In Windows, that keystroke may be different.

With the selection tool, right-click in that measure. From the context menu, select Barline > Final.
