There isn’t any way to “lock” a Finale doc from opening, as far as I know. Could you put one of them on Dropbox, and see if one of us can open it? There have been no updates to PrintMusic for Mac ...

Ed, Are you on Windows or Mac? On a Mac, right click on the file, and choose Get Info. Windows, I don't know. But unless it's a 30 page orchestral score, I doubt it's big enough to matter.

After you’ve done that, save a library of the chords. Then, you can use them in other documents.

If this is only happening in the one document, but not in others, I would suspect file corruption. You might try exporting that one doc as XML, and then importing it back in. This often clears a co...

Are you setting your Simple Entry default tuplet to three 16ths in the space of two 16ths? Is this happening in a new default file?
