What is the font that you’re using for the expressions? F27 requires one of the SMuFL compliant fonts.

We’ve been told in the past that when a file is opened, Finale runs a file check on it, resulting in the requirement to save. True? ¿Quién sabe?

Look in Preferences > Folders. That will show you the path to the correct folder.

Yes. If you've made changes to the Program preferences, they will be lost. So, screen shots, lists, whatever way works. You could also manually drag the prefs file to the desktop. Restarting finale...

Is this in all documents, new and old? If so, I would try refreshing the preferences.

You can delete them from their respective lyric windows. Clear Selected Items > Lyrics will remove them from the score, but they will still be in the lyrics windows.
