Have you installed it? 26 is different than earlier versions. You download the installer. Click on it to download and install Finale. Once done, you should see the icon in your Applications fold...

Open Console.app and see exactly what is happening while you are trying this. Everything that happens on your Mac is time stamped. You may have to drill down to see any particular event.
