You don't say what fonts you are trying to use. If they are 32bit only, they might not show up in F-25 which is 64bit.

On Startup, click on the Setup Wizard, Look for General, then Educator. This might be what you want as-is. More likely, you will want to modify it a bit and save as one of your templates.

I'm on a Mac so I don't know which modifier key to use, Shift, Option or Alt. You can find the setting in Preferences and change it to Note as I recall.

2014.5.7098 is not the most recent version. 25.1.0232 is. Log into your user account, download it and run the updater. This should fix you up.

Known issue with older versions of Finale in Sierra, If you reset the toolbars to default the icons will display. You can customize the toolbar size/position in Finale 25.1.
