How does your Casio send MIDI to the computer? MIDI cables, USB, or both? Do you use the keyboard to enter data or control any other programs on your computer? Does the keyboard work with them?

Here are two places where reverb might be set.

First make sure the dynamic is attached to the staff you mean (the Horn) and not the staff below. I find that can hapen to me in a tight score if I am not careful.

I think your chimes player would prefer a multi-measure rest to deleted staves so that he or she will be able to count the beats and know when to come in with the chimes.

What a coincidence: I've been using Finale since was introduced as well. Admittedly the software could be better than it is. I'm sorry your luck with it has been less favorable than mine.
