These may be obvious suggestions, but because they are they can often be overlooked. Have sounds been assigned to parts in the Score Manager? Are the mixer levels set at an audible range?

That often happens when your various sample rates are not aligned. Make sure Finale, your computer, and perhaps also your Roland are all using 44.1K or 48K as their sample rates. I hope that helps.
