I'm using a 2019 MacBook Pro,  2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7. With Ventura 13.1 After I upgraded to Ventura, I started to see ghostly images of my Finale file names appearing as I'm using Finale. I hover over measures to enter notation, and a title in a rectangular box appears. All over different sections of the screen. I'll attach screenshots. I don't think it's an operating system problem. It only happens with Finale file names.

Has ANYONE else experienced this happening?!?!?!?

I can't see the notes I'm entering! I sent a message to Makemusic, but their answer was underwhelming:

"Thanks for contacting MakeMusic Customer Support. I can certainly understand the frustration. Unfortunately, I'm afraid we are still in the dark as to the root of this particular issue, therefore we do not currently have a solution...."

I'm trying to upload a 102K jpg that shows what's happening, and it doesn't seem to be able to upload. I get a message that files need to be under 2MB. It's 106K, for goodness sake!!!!!!

Please, let me know if anyone else is struggling with this problem.

thanks,

Bobby

Yes, this is happening to me as well. it was also happening when I was using Safari but Finale was still open. I closed it and the file names disappeared. It's been over a year since this post and it still hasn't been resolved. I'm using Finale 27.4 with macOS Sonoma.

If it has been over a year and only one other user has reported it, it seems a rare problem; not that your situation is not important and that someone at Finale should not contact you to help what you are seeing, but this does not appear to be something that by itself suggests a major reprogramming of the software.

If you have not already, you might try sending this via the "Submit a request" link above to solicit some help from Makemusic Support.

I confess that I have never seen this. I do not use Safari, however, and prefer Chrome.

You might try a different browser and see if the problem is still present. If not, Apple Support may be able to help—telephone support is free in most countries.

It’s definitely an issue. I have it happening constantly. Finale says it’s Apple, Apple says it’s Finale. Rinse and repeat.

I use Firefox.
