Thanks, Per-Göran. I had the same issue (Finale crashes after MIDI device check), and disabling ASIO worked like a charm.

3. moving from from Windows to Mac - templates, doc styles, and files, oh my!

I installed from the DVD. Yes, I've been updating the OS.   The templates (and document styles) are where they should be:   /[user]/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale 2011/Music Files
