Yes, the same player will play both. Using the Change Instrument in Utilities appears to turn off the flute in layer 2. The flute did play until I changed from alto to flute.
Thanks, but my issue is why the flute plays in layer 2 doesn't play on eight measures of the song. It does play on all the other measures.

Sorry, yes to both layout and playback. In the screen shot, measure 2 and 4 transposed correctly, but not 1 & 3.
Correct. Here is a screen shot. It almost seems like the F or F# in the trumpet part is affecting the transposition.
Just discovered that Trumpet 2 WILL transpose to trombone correctly, but not Trumpet 1. Both trumpets are set up the same in the score manager. Weird?
