Finale 2012
Music Publishers have requested original scores submitted by email.
Need how to do it step by step.
That is all. Thank you.
Gary
Hello Gary,
As an engraver working with different publishers I would say the easiest answer is "ask the publisher." Most publishers are willing to take the time to answer this type of question. If for some odd reason they wouldn't supply you with this information, then the next step would be to get the contact email to send the score. Attach the score to the email and send it. As far as supplying you with information on how to work your particular email program (since there are many out there) it would be difficult to walk you through the process. If that's the case, I would ask a friend or neighbor to help. If you still need help…post again and I'm sure the community will help.
Good luck!
Steve
I am having the same problem but hope for guidance than was provided above.
I have a score I want to send the piano part via email. I know how to 'edit part'
and get the piano part from a full score. NOW, I think I click on 'Document' and
click on 'Edit part'...then, I click on 'Export' and then go my email to send a 'new'
message and then click on 'files' and a list of documents, etc. appear, but not my
target file. Oh, I left out the selection from the 'Export' click. I have tried the PDF
and just about all the others but am unable to make a selection that produces
a file for my email? Thanks for your good help on this.

And, what, exactly, do they want: Finale file (.mus or .musx), a PDF, XML, or something else?
In any case, you don’t send the file directly from Finale. Save the file in the requested format, the way you would save any other file. Set up your email, and attach the saved file. Details would depend on your email program.
