Instruments have no soundd in playback

I'm writing a score for a bigband and when I enter notes on my piano and alto sax staves, theres no sound and there's also no sound on the playback for these instruments. Some instruments do have sound but i'm pretty sure that more than just my piano and alto sax wont work. And no, they are not muted in the playback mixer... Any Ideas? Thanks!

If you have the full version of Finale, there are two installers in the download and both must be run—many see the second window and think, I've already done this and close it. That second installer is for Aria and the Garritan sounds.

Actually Finale 2014 and Finale v25 are two different versions.

Have you looked in the Score Manager to see what sounds are assigned to your troublesome instruments?
You may want to try Reassign Playback Sounds in the MIDI/Audio menu.

I can't explain why, but when I have playback issues I click on the Reassign Playback Sounds under the MIDI/Audio menu and playback works, or at least works better. I was having a three measure delay between the scrolling bar and the sound and used the Reassign Playback to fix it.
