Are you using the Simple Entry Tool or the Speedy Entry Tool?

Are you using Windows Finale or Mac Finale?

Both entry tools have a Tuplet (sub-)Tool that allows you enter tuplets without leaving the entry tool (= no need to switch to the specialized Tuplet Tool on the Main Tool Palette).

There are even keyboard shortcuts for both Tuplet (sub-)Tools.
