Need to beam 8 32nd notes with the beam between #4 and #5 32nd note only being the 8th note level of beam.

 

How do I do that?

Special Tools Tool.

Click the sub-tool Secondary Beam Break Tool.

Click inside the measure/staff.

Handles appear on all (secondary) beamed notes.

Double-click the handle after the desired break point (or select the handle, and hit Return).

The dialog Secondary Beam Break Selection appears.

Choose

Break Through

One thing more:

 

If you need the same beam break in a gazillion measures, first create one measure with the desired beam break, then use the Copy Filter to copy only “Secondary Beam Breaks” to all the other measures.
