Hi,

When I attempt to export a score as Music XML, I am given the message quoted in the title. I have made sure that I have Java installed, and I also restarted my computer and reinstalled Java to be certain. I still cannot import/export Music XML files at the moment. It's very frustrating, any help would be appreciated.

Also, I am running Mac OSX Sierra 10.12.5

Make sure you have the correct (not necessarily the latest) version of Java.

2014.5 is 32bit and requires v.6 32bit JRE. You can get it from Apple or MakeMusic.

https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572?locale=en_US

64bit applications require the current JRE 8 from Oracle.

Did you install the 32 bit JRE fro Apple? If not, do so and reboot.

I did it, but it still doesn't work. Now my articulation and expression shortcuts do not work.

Then we need to know more. Java has nothing to do with that. It affects MusicXML and may affect some print/export functions.
