Hello,

I have Finale Printmusic 2014.5 (Demo) for OS X and if I want to change the pitch of a note in Simple Entry with [option]+[arrow up] or [option]+[arrow down], the program crashes and everything that wasn't saved is lost. This is extremely frustrating and if there is no way to fix this, it will keep me from buying the software.

I could be wrong, but I think you can move notes up or down using only the up and down arrows, no "option" necessary. I have 3 versions of full Finale installed and they all work this way. Print Music should do likewise.

I recommend going to the Help menu, reading the tutorials and watching the videos. The User Manual links to the online manual. 

 

Bruce is right. Use the Simple Entry tool. Click on the note and move up/down with the arrow keys. I just opened PrintMusic 2014.5 and it works the same as other Finale products.

 

In SpeedyEntry, you can use the Shift key with your mouse to drag notes up/down or right/left.

 

I do not use PrintMusic but I have a copy for testing. The full version of Finale has many more choices and options for editing but the basics are unchanged.
