Trying to register my schools finale account on my new account?

My school has the finale software that was registered on a school computer. I am wanting to put finale on my personal computer as well so I can do projects at home as needed. I was told I was allowed one more computer with access.

However, the teacher that had the account set up last year was in a really bad accident and I do not have his log in information. I was trying to see if I could register the finale software on a new account (my account that I just set up) but it's telling me that it is not able to on a new account. I'm guessing I have to be logged in to the other teacher's account. How do I go about getting the software on my computer? Do I need to just authorize at this point?

Finale v.2014, I have a Mac but am not sure of the operating system's specifics.

You need to use the "Submit a request" link at the top of the page to contact MakeMusic directly. When you do, you will likely need the serial number of the copy of Finale you wish to discuss. That info is on the About Finale panel copy at the school.

In the meantime, download the demo version to your computer. You will be able to continue working, until you get the registration straightened out. The demo is full featured (except for the Garritan sounds) for 30 days.
