The Chord tool which used to be on the entry palette has disappeared?
Are you sure you had a Chord Tool in NotePad, not in perhaps SongWriter, or in PrintMusic?
I could be wrong here, but I seem to remember that NotePad does not have the Chord Tool.
NotePad can open, display, edit, and print Finale documents with chord symbols in them.
But without the Chord Tool it can not create chord symbols.
As a workaround you can create fake chord symbols in the Text Tool.
