Setting the default 'open' folder

When I click 'open' from the initial dialogue box, it takes me to a folder (Finale folder in my Documents folder) and I wish to redirect that default to another folder. Can anybody tell me how to do that? I'm on a Mac Yosemite and am running Finale v25.4.1.

How can I make my current version of Finale the default version when I open any old file?

You are using Mac OS - right?

In the Finder, click once on a Finale document, to select it.

Then, hit Command-I, to open the Info window.

Somewhere down in the Info window (= below the Comment field) there is a pane (You may have to click a triangle, to expand the pane) where you can set, what program should open the document.

When you in the pop up menu have chosen your current version of Finale, click the button below (I think the button says “Set All” - or something like that), to make this Finale version the “default opener” for all Finale documents.
