Finale 2014 Crashes when trying to apply Articulation

I am running Finale 2014d.5545 on my Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. Every time I try to apply Articulation, it crashes.

I'm not on Mac, but I think the first thing to try is to delete/rename/move the preferences file. It will rebuild itself next time you launch Finale.
