is there a way to (quickly) listen to the percussion sounds of a given library?

Percussion sounds are wanting in Finale. Even NP4 is only slightly better. A quick way, no!

and therefore for classical orchestral percussion you do use an external sound library? 

or...?

ALESSANDRO,

I am not that far advanced or talented. I simply live with NP4 and accept it and/or Finale's limitations in percussion sounds.

I can get sounds with Note Performer, and also Garritan, but I cannot hear any sound if I try to input percussion with Smart Music Soft Synth.  Did you find a solution to your problem?
