I keep trying to download but it will not allow saying that installer does not allow for me to download this content.

I would try a different internet browser. Otherwise, call Make Music and talk to tech support.

2012 is your latest version, right? Disable your antivirus software. There have been a few reports of that with Finale 2011 and 2012.
