Windows 10 64bit V26 updated to V27 to be able to use NotePerformer sounds. Finale automatically loads the NP sounds to play Finale through VST's, using the sound map priority box and putting NP on top then Garritan then Sound music soft synth. NotePerformer NP automatically loads into finale v27 but it does not open the mixer or audio engines to be able to use the NP software in Finale? I contacted finale support and they said to delete finale V27 then reload it again. I still have the same problem it loads up older notations musx, mus and when I try to add notation it tells me it's going to shut down error code 7. I does not let me write into the finale software but it changes theNoteperformer sounds which are better sounding than the Garritan Aria and softsyth. The only reason I updated to V27 was to be able to use NP with finale notation then I transfer to my (DAW) Cakewalk by Bandlab. I don't know if its the Finale V27 not setup correctly after install or the NotePerformer installed inside of Finale V27. I could use some support or get a refund and stick to V26 which has its own problems. What would Mozart and Beethoven say about this?

I concur I regularly use the two together. Did you reassign playback sounds before trying to use NP4? Do that first then go into Score Manager.

The problem may be that your DAW may be trying to call NotePerformer. This will not work. Most DAWs will fail NP on verification and ignore subsequent attempts to load—that might not be what's going on there.

 

NotePerformer is not intuitive. Most problems occur when users try to second-guess the app instead of following the instructions exactly. Arne at Wallander has been most helpful on those rare occasions when I couldn't make it behave and I have forwarded that to MakeMusic Support when necessary.

Stimmt es, dass Noteperformer 4 nur mit der englischen Version mit Finale 27 funktioniert ?
Ich habe die deutsche Version von Finale 27 und möchte diese um Noteperformer erweitern.

I have the German version of Finale 27 and would like to expand it to include Noteperformer.

Noteperformer 4 works with Finale 27, Dorico and Sibelius. As far as I know, "English Version" means the alphabet characters used in the English language. This may be specific to Windows, by the way. Likewise, the documentation is in English. This is spelled out better here along with the 30 day trial

Noteperformer 4 funktioniert mit Finale 27, Dorico und Sibelius. Soweit ich weiß, sind mit „englischer Version“ die in der englischen Sprache verwendeten Buchstaben gemeint.
