Why does the volume on MIDI notes change when I copy and paste music in my score?

I have a phrase marked at forte, copy/paste the phrase eight measures later and the same music plays at piano.  

Does it matter if I use simple, speedy, or MIDI keyboard note entry?

Finale 2014.5

Not sure.

  1. Was there an intervening dynamic mark?
  2. Did you have music in the destination location that might have left a MIDI command hidden behind?

Yes, there was music in the destination area. I inserted several measure stacks and that music moved. How would I fix this issue?

I would try using Edit > Clear Selected Items to clear any existing MIDI data in the affected measures.
