No sound

I don't know a midi from a toothbrush but I am in charge of getting Finale installed and working for my wife. Was able to play .musx file using "print music". Now have to use Finale. How do I get sound out of it? After first installing Finale did get a couple of .musx file to make sound but now I can't get any to make sound.

This is not about composing music this is about just playing and getting sound out of a .musx file.

Must be a document for Super Dummy Finale users?

I'd start by checking here via MIDI/Audio > Device Setup > Audio Setup:

I had this problem after I installed an updated version of Finale. (Mac version) No sound. What the install info seems to neglect is that the Garritan Audio files won't fully install until you REBOOT your Macintosh. Two friggin hours of putzing around to finally discover this. Thanks for nothing, Makemusic. Another reason why I HATE upgrading.

Same today, 6-2022, after GPO5 set up from the web page instructions. Even altering Sound sample file ArnoldPark with GPO instruments and getting as many things to load, update etc.. Nothing comes out speakers except 'Test Audio Output' after adding the Garratin suite. Have not even directed it to anything other than the Laptop Sound card.

After a restart, It does not make a sound. Another winner upgrade to GPO 5! So happy
