Sorry, goofed up there. Is there a simple way to add brackets to enclose two notes as seen in the sample? In this bar the upper and lower notes are to be taken by the outside stands, the inner note by the inside desk.
If I understand you correctly, you need to create brackets, not with perpendicular hooks, but rather with angled hooks - right? You can create the brackets in the Shape Designer, and then attach the brackets with the Expression Tool, or with the Articulation Tool.
