Dear Forum,
2 questions:
Time signature above the score and big - and how to avoid small trill notes to flip back when moving?
yours

1) In the Document Options you can
- choose font, and size, for Time Signatures (in Document Options - Fonts), try e. g. Engraver Time,
- set the positioning of the time signature, there are separate positioning settings for each element.
There are separate settings for score and parts - so that you can have “normal” time signatures in the parts.
2) I suppose that you, for the small trill notes, are using grace notes, right?
To avoid that they “flip back when moving”, you must de-select the automatic spacing settings that flip the grace notes back.
It might be better to avoid the problem by using regular notes that are made smaller with the Resize Tool (use the Resize Tool’s context menu).
Dear Peter Thomsen and J Adrian Verkouteren,
Thanks for the responses, it works marvelous / as for the trill Peter / i use either different layer for the trill tone or voice two / but I still can figure out how to avoid that they are popping back when I leave the speedy entry window.
I've been in document options and made incorporate in the roll down menu at 'music spacing'
Does any of you have a better solution how to notate trills?

I guess I should have been more specific about “automatic spacing settings”.
1) In the Document Options, go to Multimeasure Rests, and de-select “Update Automatically” (which affects the widths of all measures, not only multimeasure rests).
De-selecting “Update Automatically” will prevent that the measure widths are reset.
2) Go to the program’s settings (Preferences - Edit, the pane Automatic Settings).
De-select “Automatic Music Spacing”.
You can still apply music spacing manually, when and where you need it.
Dear Peter,
Gratitude / this is something I couldn't figure out for years! Thanks.
Would you by any chance know if it\s possible to make the trill note with a parenthesis_ I haven't found the font or keyboard combination wich include this.
Earlier I've made them in smart shapes but they tend to float around in the score.

Create the trill note as usual (= as a grace note, or as a normal note resized with the Resize Tool).
Instead of using the Smart Shape Tool, use the Expression Tool, or the Articulation Tool - for the parenthesis.
I would create two separate items - ( and ) - since their distance will depend on, whether there is an accidental on the small note.
