Mac Catalina

Finale 26.2

Ivory II

Anyone using Ivory in Finale?

MakeMusic support says the AU plug-ins need to be in ~/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale [version]/Audio Units Support/[various]

Does that need a re-install or copy some files to that directory?

If so, which ones?

Thx.

That does not need a reinstall. You should just be able to drag the plugins to the correct folder, and restart Finale.

Thanks, Mike. There are a lot of files associated with Ivory, and they live in different folders. Do I need to drag EVERYTHING there, including all the samples?

That, I can’t tell you. But someone who uses the AU plugins will surely be along, soon!

Steven,

All Audio Unit plug-ins on Mac are stored in the same directory.

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

This lives outside of Finale's folders but the program scans this directory for the plug-ins. Ivory should have installed the necessary .component file for the Audio Unit when you installed it. If this component is not there, you will want to run the Ivory installer again.
