When I'm filling a measure in 4/4 time, I get to 3 1/2 beats and it goes to the next measure. The measure has a quarter note and 5 eighth notes. I'd copy and paste the staff but I'm not sure I can do that. Thanks.
Have you checked the time signature for that measure?
Can you insert a measure stack and delete that one?
Simple or Speedy Entry? Did you set up the document, or was it from a scan?
Have you tried selecting a note in the preceding measure, and stepping forward with the arrow keys to be sure there isn't anything hidden?
Mac or Windows? What version of Finale?
