To Coda and Target Measure ID

Mac OS Big Sur 11.5.2

Finale 26.3

I am not understanding how to add coda, then "to coda" with the Target Measure ID. I thought I was following the steps correctly, but if that were true, in measure 15, it would not say "To Coda 8". The "8" is supposed to be a coda sign. Please forgive the fact that after years of stumbling around I am finally actually studying the tutorials. I assume there's a way to submit my file.

Have you tried the plug-in Create Coda System ?

(Plugins menu > Measures > Create Coda System…)

It is a little confusing at first but once you understand it works well. You need to watch your pass time(s) and when you want it to jump to coda. Also, if you have a pickup measure (anacrusis) it will figure in these settings.
