Stare Drum Sounding Like A Chop Block

I recently migrated from Windows to an Apple Mac-M1. Understandably, Make music did't recognize my new device. Therefore, I purchased a new version--27.2.0142. Now, the snare drum sounds like a chop block. Why? What is the fix?

Without knowing how it was set up before and how it is now, no one will be able to guess what needs to change.

I'm using finale V27.2.0.142. The platform is an Apple iMac OS Ventura 13.0. I am creating a concert band score with a mouse.

And what are you using for your sound source?

I'm using Audio Units and/or MIDI. The output is coming from an Apple studio monitor. I should mention scores created in an older windows version of Finale sound fine.
