Does this happen in all documents - or is the issue document specific?
Take a look in the ScoreManager, in the chiclet Instrument List. When the Flute part is selected, then is the option “Auto-Number Style” selected or de-selected?
Expand the window Playback Controls (by clicking the speaker icon). In the expanded window you can specify playback to begin at a specific place in the document.
