John, Two suggestions: open a support ticket (use the tab at the top of this page) and remove your email address, for security!
I think there is a problem with the player controls. Other people are experiencing problems, as well. I expect they will get it sorted out, eventually. I certainly would not let this discourage me ...

It's most likely related to how the time signature is set up. Go to the Edit Time Signature... window. Take a screen shot, and post it for us to look at!
