This article contains instructions for removing Garritan libraries from your computer. This article does not contain steps for uninstalling the Garritan instruments that come with Finale. To start, please choose your operating system below, then the library you would like to uninstall.

Uninstalling CFX Concert Grand from your Windows computer
To remove CFX Concert Grand from your computer, please first close any applications that you have open (except this web browser) then follow the steps below to remove the library's components.
- Hold down the WINDOWS key on your computer keyboard and press the letter R at the same time to open the Run dialog box.
- Type in:
appwiz.cpl
- Click OK; the Programs and Features window appears.
- Locate Garritan CFX Concert Grand [your version number] in the list; right-click it and choose Uninstall.
- You will receive a message saying the uninstall is complete, click OK to close it.
- Reopen the Run dialog box (WINDOWS+R).
- Type in:
C:\Program Files\Garritan
- Locate the CFX Concert Grand folder and delete it (right-click the folder > Delete).
- Open the Run dialog box again.
- Type in:
%appdata%\Garritan
- Locate the CFX Concert Grand folder and delete it.
- Empty the Recycle Bin.
- Restart your computer.

/Users/Shared
- Press RETURN.
- Locate the CFX_Samples folder in the window that appears and move it to the Trash.
- Open the Go To Folder dialog box again.
- Type in:
/Library/Preferences
- Press RETURN.
- Move the com.Garritan.CFX Concert Grand.plist file to the Trash.
- Open the Go To Folder dialog box again.
- Type in:
~/Library/Preferences
- Make sure the tilde symbol (~) is included at the beginning of the directory and press RETURN.
- Move the com.Garritan.CFX Concert GrandSA.plist file to the Trash.
- Last but not least, use SHIFT+COMMAND+A to open the Applications folder.
- Move the CFX Concert Grand application to the Trash. Move any dock icons for CFX Concert Grand to the Trash as well.
- Empty the Trash.
- Restart your computer.

- Locate the CFXLite_Samples folder in the window that appears and move it to the Trash.
- Open the Go To Folder dialog box again.
- Type in:
/Library/Preferences
- Press RETURN.
- Move the com.Garritan.CFX Lite.plist file to the Trash.
- Open the Go To Folder dialog box again.
- Type in:
~/Library/Preferences
- Make sure the tilde symbol (~) is included at the beginning of the directory and press RETURN.
- Move the com.Garritan.CFX Lite.plist and com.Garritan.CFX LiteSA.plist files to the Trash.
- Last but not least, use SHIFT+COMMAND+A to open the Applications folder.
- Move the CFX Lite application to the Trash. Move any dock icons for CFX Lite to the Trash as well.
- Empty the Trash.
- Restart your computer.
