The Crotales sample in Garritan Personal Orchestra 5 currently has a two-octave displacement when imported into Finale. This can affect any notes entered from C4 to C5.

The temporary solution to fix this can be done by setting the transposition from Other... to None in ScoreManager. (Window > ScoreManager)

To permanently solve this issue, eliminating the need to adjust the transposition in ScoreManager, you can download and replace the attached Crotales KS.sfz file.

 

Choose your Operating System for installation instructions:

 

  1. Download the Crotales KS.sfz file attached to this article and save it to your Desktop
  2. Open a new Finder window
  3. Select Go to Folder... from the Go menu
  4. Type or copy/paste the path below into the field 
    • /Library/Application Support/Garritan/Garritan Personal Orchestra 5/Instruments/3. Percussion/
  5. Press Go
  6. Copy and paste the Crotales KS.sfz from your Desktop to this folder
  7. Select Replace
  8. Enter your password and press OK

 

  1. Download the Crotales KS.sfz file attached to this article and save it to your Desktop
  2. Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run window
  3. Type or copy/paste the path below into the field 
    • C:\Program Files\Garritan\Personal Orchestra 5\Instruments\3. Percussion\
  4. Press OK
  5. Copy and paste the Crotales KS.sfz from your Desktop to this folder
  6. Select Replace
