Finale for Windows supports VST2 plug-ins but does not support VST3 plug-ins, such as Kontakt 7 and Kontakt 8 by Native Instruments. As a result, VST3 plug-in will not appear in Finale's VST Banks & Effects dialog box or ScoreManager. Native Instruments does not offer VST2 components for Kontakt 7 & 8. For other third-party instrument libraries, please check with the developer to see if they offer VST2 a component.
In light of our August 2024 announcement that Finale development has ended, we will not be adding VST3 plug-in support to Finale.
