The AAX version of the ARIA Player plug-in is required if you would like to use any of the Garritan Instruments with Pro Tools (11 and later). Garritan/Abbey Road Studios CFX Concert Grand and CFX Lite come with their own dedicated player, which is also AAX compatible.
For macOS, the most recent version of the ARIA Player AAX plug-in is available in the v1.872 release. The plug-in is not included in the most recent version of the ARIA Player installer packaged with the Garritan Instruments or with Finale (v1.959), so the AAX plug-in will need to be installed manually after the instrument library has been installed.
On Windows, the AAX plug-in that is included in the most recent version of the ARIA Player installer packaged with Garritan libraries and Finale may not be recognized as valid by Pro Tools. When launching Pro Tools, Windows users may be met with this error message:
The following plug-ins failed to load because they are not valid 64 bit AAX plug-ins:
ARIA Player.aaxplugin
To solve this problem, an earlier version of the plug-in must be installed manually after installing the Garritan Instrument library.
