Since the release of Finale 2005, all of our notation products have been hybrid products. The same hybrid disc/download will install on both Mac and Windows computers. This means that when you upgrade to the latest version of Finale or other notation product, you can use the same disc to install on either a Mac or a PC. You can also download either the Mac or Windows version of the installer from your MakeMusic account at any time (2012 and later for Finale, 2007 and later PrintMusic and SongWriter). You can log into your MakeMusic account here. Any files you have created can be opened in both the Mac and Windows versions of the software.
